Lego Fun!

Sketchbook
In the Sketchbook Explorations Class, students delve into sketchbooks as visual journals as well as a space to investigate creativity and artistic technique. In this class, sketchbooks are not just for drawing! Student are encouraged to try a variety of media including, but not limited to drawing, painting, collage, and digital arts. Each participant will receive a sketchbook of their very own so they can continue the magic at home.*Please Note: In order to give students the individual attention required for the class, this class is first come first serve and will closed once enrollment reaches 8.

Coding
Advanced Computer Science (Problem Solving) is a highly interactive and collaborative introduction to the field of computer science, as framed within the broader pursuit of solving problems. Students then learn how computers input, output, store, and process information to help humans solve problems. The unit concludes with students designing an application that helps solve a problem of their choosing.
Students must:
- Show an interest in the Computer Science Subject
- Be proficient in Computer science fundamentals
- Know how to read and work independently and/or in groups
- Work through challenge and obstacles as part of the creative process

Homework Center
The Winston School after school homework center is staffed by Winston teachers who offer guidance for homework completion. Homework center begins promptly at 3:05 PM and ends at 4:00 or 4:30. A snack is provided. In addition, private one-on-one tutoring is available upon request. Homework center is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays. There is no homework center on Fridays. Please sign up in the main office. There is no on-line registration for Homework Center.
