COVID-19 Response Fund

The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have touched us all. Nevertheless, facing and overcoming challenges is at the heart of The Winston School. We have been working since February to meet our students’ needs, launching an online learning curriculum that exceeded expectations. Now, we are forecasting our future needs in order to reopen our School’s doors both for our Summer program and for the Fall.

We have shared various classroom models for next year with you, including in-person, remote and a hybrid of the two. To help accomplish our preparations, we are setting up a COVID-19 Response Fund to address health and safety, technology and unanticipated financial expenses. This fund will help us to retro-fit classrooms with technology for all inevitabilities. We are also modifying our facility to provide enhanced distancing for staff, faculty and students. Further, we will be adding a full-time nurse on campus, and will undertake heightened cleaning of all spaces, including bathrooms.

We ask you to partner with us in this important endeavor. We have reached $5,000 of our $100,000 goal. If you have already donated to Winston this year, thank you; if you are able, please give again. If you would like to discuss structuring this gift with your future Annual Fund donation, please contact Elissa Cordrey, director of institutional advancement, at ecordrey@winstonschool.org.

Thank you 8th Grade Winston Families!

The Winston School Class of 2020 left their mark on Winston with the donation of a custom pop-up tent.  According to Dr. Peter Lewis, "we are extremely grateful to all our graduates and their families for this beautiful and timely donation." The tent was immediately put to use for the Winston Summer on the Hill Camp to facilitate socially distant on-site learning.  Winston will be investing in additional tents for the opening of the school year. If you would like to donate a tent ($650) please contribute to Winston's Covid-19 Relief Fund.
