Winston Welcomes New Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Dr. Daniele Kass has been an educator for over 17 years. Dr. Kass holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Walden University’s Richard W. Riley College of Education. She holds a Master’s degree from New York University in Special Education. Dr. Kass graduated from the University at Albany in New York with majors in Psychology, Education, and English.

Pulling for Winston
The Winston Pops Committee is collecting wine ($25 and up) for the Wine Pull. Please bring your bottles to drop off and pick up on Wednesday's and Friday's. All proceeds benefit Winston students. Click on image for more information.

Dr. Adam Price to Present at Winston
Dr. Price, an expert on learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, will speak on Raising an Engaged, Motivated Student on Tuesday, January 27th. Price will explore the pressure tweens and teens feel to be “good enough” as well as the pursuit of perfection in our competitive culture. Click on photo for RSVP link and more information.

The Winston School is proud to announce its Summer Academic Camp! JULY 13, 2015 –AUGUST 6, 2015. MONDAY thru THURSDAY, 9:00 AM – NOON. Students may bring lunch and stay on campus until 12:30. Holiday Songs From Around the World
The Winston students, under the direction of Mrs. Cerritto performed a selection of holiday songs from around the world at the Morris Museum. The holiday show was the best yet!

Project Read
Winston teachers were busy in the classroom this week as they continued their professional development for Project Read. Director of Curriculum Daniele Kass is working with staff to fully implement the program, a systematic approach to teaching decoding, encoding, and reading comprehension strategies, using multisensory activities and direct instruction.
