Welcome from the Director of Admission

Dear Prospective Families,

Welcome to The Winston School of Short Hills!

The Winston School of Short Hills is a unique Independent School devoted to teaching capable and talented students with language-based learning differences the skills they need to be successful in school, and in life.

To achieve our mission, we create individual learning programs and carefully monitor each student’s progress. Close relationships between our students and talented teachers allow students to develop individual strengths while receiving support in areas of challenge. Through these strong positive relationships, and our small class sizes, students are encouraged to become active learners and problem solvers whose self-esteem enables them to work collaboratively while giving voice to their own views.

I hope you will spend some time on our website to learn more about our unique curriculum, dedicated faculty, and welcoming community. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time if you have any questions about Winston or our application process by emailing me at gwilliams@winstonschool.org.

Sincerely,

"Winston helped our daughter rediscover her love of learning. At Winston, she not only demonstrated success in the classroom but also  became proud of the work she was producing. We are thankful that this gift has allowed her to find success in a rigorous college preparatory high school program. We will always consider ourselves members of the Winston Community!"
