The Winston school believes in a culture that embraces diversity and acceptance in all aspects of our society.

Our dedication is steadfast to educate our children on acceptance and tolerance, promote inclusiveness and open-minded thinking, and spread kindness. Across all school divisions, we have launched a new curricular program, ABIDE, to support our school’s commitment to diversity and acceptance within and beyond our community. ABIDE represents Acceptance, Belonging, Inclusivity, Diversity, and Equity.

Our administrators and teachers are delivering the program across grade levels in a developmentally appropriate sequence. Foundational skills and conceptual understanding of concepts begin in the Primary and Lower Schools, where students participate in varied lessons and activities that teach students to live, learn, and work together in a vibrant and diverse world. In the Middle School, pillars of character education and citizenship, which comprise our Winston “Roots,” are accompanied by a more comprehensive analysis of inclusion, acceptance, and an appreciation for varied perspectives of a diverse population. Collectively, these principles are embedded throughout the academic curriculum and complementary activities. Winston is proud of our ongoing commitment to supporting a culture that reflects, embraces, and celebrates the uniqueness of every individual.
