Interview May 2021

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE WINSTON MOMENT?
I loved Winston; the entire staff motivated me to come to school every day. I know I wouldn't have the same opportunities if I hadn't gone to Winston. I also met some really great friends who I am still close to today.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR WINSTON STUDENTS.
Try to do as much as possible in high school. If you have an idea "go for it"! Also, read every day. Pick a topic you like and start small, even if it's just a paragraph. Over time you will find yourself reading longer and enjoying it.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR?
I will be attending Rutger's University and studying Landscape Architecture.

WHAT DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH IN HIGH SCHOOL?
I helped form the Hebrew Club, played Rugby and joined the Performing Arts and Engineering Clubs. I had wanted to get more involved but could not due to Covid.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO SINCE LEAVING WINSTON?
Covid has given me time to really reflect and think about what I'd like to do. Last summer I renovated our garage into a personal space. I used it to work on creating videos and then moved into creating an eco-friendly landscaping business. Several Winston friends work for me. We use only electric mowers and I am focusing on hiring college bound guys who are saving for college. I recently was approached to work with individuals with special needs. Last year we had 44 clients.

IN 10 YEARS......
I hope to be working for my own environmental-focused business servicing multiple locations. I also would like to be doing community service and possibly eco-friendly consulting. I also hope to travel.
